Praying the Pilgrim Songs: Psalm 122:6-9

001

 Psalm 122:6-9

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
7 “May peace be within your walls,
And prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends,
I will now say, “May peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God
I will seek your good.

Lord, You have promised blessings
for those who love Israel.
Please Lord, show us how to love Your
People; and show us that You will indeed
bless us for it.

Now, do bless your people
and bring them Your peace.
And bless their land and their houses.
And give them prosperity and contentment.

Lord, bring them through all of their troubles.
Lord, be gracious to them,
for they are Your special people.
Show them Your love and save them.
Show them and show the world
that You will indeed  make
a new covenant with them:
an everlasting covenant of peace.
