Perhaps a more specific definition more adapted from the left-wing movement is this: Wokeism is a movement to indoctrinate people into believing that white people are oppressors and that they need to “wake up” to that reality (from Beyond Biden).
I’m sure that if we were to interview ten different people on the street and ask them what wokeism is, that we would get ten different answers. Wokeism is a fairly new (or changing) concept and there is probably a lot of confusion about it. Awesome post, Stephen! And I couldn’t agree more. Wokism in and of itself promotes bullying by demonizing all white people. It’s true that racism does exist. However, the majority of whites today hate racism and wish to get along with the other races. Not all blacks are thugs, not all Hispanics are illegal aliens, not all men are sexist, and not all whites are racists. Yet the Left insists on lumping all whites, all white men, and all Christians into one category and demonizing them. Understand that the Nazis did the same thing to the Jews in Germany back in the 1930’s- they demonized them before they slaughtered them in the holocaust. 6 million of them! And if something doesn’t change, that’s exactly where we’re headed here.
