Angelic Quotes about Jesus – from Revelation

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

I have just started reading through Revelation, and I keep noticing the many quotes about Jesus, which have been given to us through the apostle John, by “His angel” (Jesus angel, Rev. 1:1; 22:16). The angels are such good witnesses to Jesus; we ought to pay attention to what they say. Here are the quotes I ran across so far, up to Revelation 3:14.

[He is] the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. [He] loves us, and released us from our sins by His blood, and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father (Rev 1:5-6).

I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades (Rev 1:17-18).

[He is] the first and…

How to Live the Christian Life in This World – From Matthew 6:19-20

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

We have been studying Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and following D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones teaching from his Studies in the Sermon on the Mount. We have now come to the section following the Disciples Prayer outline, verses 19 -20, where Jesus tells us,

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.

So here, we come to the problem of living the Christian life in the world and therefore how to overcome to world while living in it. Jesus gives us two points to follow: 1) we are not to store up for ourselves treasures upon earth, but 2) we are to store up treasures in heaven.

We Are Not to Store Up…

Mars Photos

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

This looks like Death Valley desert. I see rover tracks.

Landscape on the planet Mars. View on planet earth in the distance.

Very cool!

One of our Mars rovers.

Blue rocks. I would love to collect some of those.

Where did all these rocks come from?

Overall, I would sure like to visit and look around, but not for long.

Rush Limbaugh, Dead At 70: Many Will Miss Him

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

I was surprised to hear this morning on Fox News that Rush Limbaugh had pass away. I have pasted in a Fox News article about him below.

I am retired now, have been for a few years. But when I was working steady, I always had the radio on and it was usually tuned in to Rush from 11am to 2pm. He was always the best conservative commentator. I know, he acted boastful and overly confident in the truth of what he was saying, but that was part of his charm and the way he would make you believe in what he was saying. Toward the end of his life he was still as confident as ever, but his compassion for his audience and for America really came out. I will miss him.

How the Cold Winds Praise the Lord

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds; story wind, fulfilling His word…13 Let them praise the name of the Lord. (Ps. 148:8, 13)

I pondered this morning how God’s creation praises the name of the Lord (in Psalms 148). Much of the creation, like the snow and the cold winds have no will of their own. So how does it praise Him? I think the answer is in verse 8. It obeys His word. It fulfills the Lord’s will.

In the last couple days ice, wind and snow froze up Texas windmills, shutting down much of Texas.

Frozen wind turbines hamper Texas power output, state’s electric grid operator says

Nearly half of Texas’ installed wind power generation capacity has been offline because of frozen wind turbines in West Texas, according to Texas grid operators. Wind farms across the state generate up to a combined 25,100 megawatts of energy. But unusually moist winter conditions in…

Those Who Call Evil Good and Good Evil – From Isaiah 5:20

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

I have gotten in the habit reading a newspaper in the morning. I mainly enjoy reading the comics (I have my favorite ones) and maybe an article in the sports section. I always try to glean some bit of truth from the front-page news articles, but I most always go away with nothing. And I am more and more convinced that whatever they declare is true is a lie. Yes, that is the formula: whatever they say is true is a lie; and whatever they say is a lie is true. If we stick to that rule we can’t go wrong. That is the rule for these last days. Isaiah 5:20-21 and 23, says it this way:

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;

Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe to those…

My Pillow Guy Being Shut Down for Revealing the Truth About Voter Fraud

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

Mike Lindell, the My Pillow guy, has put together a presentation to show you absolute proof that the 2020 presidential election was stolen by election fraud—that involved other countries. And he has done it at a high price. Many of the companies that were sponsoring him have shut his My Pillow ads down. Even his My Pillow web site has been shut down.

If you have any doubts about whether the election was stolen or not, you may want to click on Mike Lindell’s ‘Absolute Proof’ Video to see and hear this presentation at https://michaeljlindell.com/

The presentation is put on by various cyber forensic experts, and very professionally done. You will see…

  • The typical ways that fraud was committed by voting twice, dead people voting, etc. Then you will see how most of the fraudulent votes in key counties were accomplished: they were flipped by voting machines.
  • All the manipulation…

Revealing How Evil Most Senate Democrats Are

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

A top news story just came out in the Washington Free Beacon entitled Senate Democrats Defeat Bid to Protect Abortion Survivors. And then it was cited by Koening’s World Watch Daily as Evil: Senate Democrats Defeat Bid to Protect Abortion Survivors. Here is their version:

Evil: Senate Democrats Defeat Bid to Protect Abortion Survivors

Senate Democrats defeated legislation Wednesday that would have protected infants who survive abortions.

The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act failed because nearly every Senate Democrat voted against the measure, which requires doctors to provide medical care for newborns who survive abortion attempts. The act received 52 votes, falling 8 short of the 60-vote threshold necessary to break the filibuster. Democratic senators Joe Manchin (W. Va.) and Bob Casey (Pa.) crossed the aisle to vote for the legislation.

Sen. Ben Sasse (R., Neb.), who introduced the legislation, decried the partisan vote. “This legislation isn’t red vs…

May Big Tech Fall Into their Own Net

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

I am glad to see that Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis is fighting for his state against Big Tech censorship. We were all shocked to see how they could remove President Trump from Twitter, and also shut down Parler. I hope his law proposal comes through and eventually Big Tech will be restricted from all their efforts to control anyone in this country. It is not right for this country and for any person to be censored. I want to offer this prayer of David’s as a prayer on behalf of President Trump.

Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me,

And from the snares of those who do iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,

While I pass by safely. (Psalm 141:9-10)

I pray that President Trump will get his twitter account back, or something just as good or…
