Thanksgiving: Not Just A “Turkey Day”

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

I have noticed how many have been calling this day a “turkey day.”  I wish we could get away from that. Thanksgiving is to be a day to give thanksgiving to God. Though we are thankful to many people, ultimately, it all comes from God. In George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation, notice how he gives thanksgiving to Almighty God, and also to the great and glorious Being, and to the Lord and Ruler of Nations.

Thanksgiving Proclamation, 3 October 1789

By the President of the United States of America. a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor—and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving…

God Will Rescue the Godly and Punish the Wicked – 2 Peter 2:1-9

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

This passage (2 Peter 2:1-9, at the end) has brought me great comfort in these evil times, knowing that God will rescue and comfort me, but that He will not allow the wicked to go unpunished!

For the last few years, since I have been more tuned in to political things, and paying more attention to what is happening in the world, and particularly in America, I have been grieved and distressed by all the evil going on. It seems like the entire democrat party was, and is, out to get the President with a variety of unjust practices, including an unjust impeachment. Such hatred and lawlessness and lying—particularly by Adam Shift, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Jerry Nadler. And such underhandedness and corruption and evil scheming by the former president Barack Obama, and also by the Clintons. Then we have seen the continual attacks by Antifa and BLM and…

Backyard Squirrels

I took these pictures from inside my apartment, looking out my back window. I get a nice view at this dead tree stump where birds and squirrels like to hang out.

Voter Fraud by Dominion Software

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

You may have heard about this software, as I recently had. I heard just sketchy info about how votes were flipped from one candidate to another. Just today Sidney Powell, a White House attorney, laid it out for us at a briefing. I will present it in five points.

1. Created in Venezuela. About the time that Hugo Chavez came to power in Venezuela, he had this Dominion software made for him to ensure that he would never loose an election. Apparently, he didn’t think he would ever win an election without cheating.

I’m not sure who actually made the software, but we know that it has also been used in Cuba and China—Communist countries that will always cheat to win control of their people. And I’m not sure how exactly it was brought to this country, but I heard the names to George Soros and also the Clintons. But…

The Sins We Commit in Prayer – Matthew 6:5-8

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

In Matthew 6:1-4 Jesus taught us how not to practice our righteousness, mainly in terms of our giving to the poor. Then in verses 5-8, He tells us how not to practice our prayers. He said,

“When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.  6 “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

7 “And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.  8 “So do not be like…

A Travesty of Justice Is Before Us — Voter Fraud

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

There is a travesty of justice in this country. The media, even Fox news, doesn’t seem to acknowledge it. The left has hijacked our elections, and our entire system of justice.

The problem is that many of our people have been blinded and deceived by the enemy—the devil. He has an agenda, which is to capture the American people, and the entire world; to put them under his spell, and then to destroy them—to destroy their mind and conscience so that they have no chance of receiving the truth and salvation.

The process of this evil, Satanic destruction is presently before us. The devil has so filled and empowered certain evil ones to mechanically and personally cheat on the voting process, thus to bring those in power who will deceive the people and to bring them under a cloud of deception and hypocrisy. Being under this cloud, they will be…

Autumn Evening Calm

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStephen Nielsen

As the sun dips below the horizon a gentle calm colors the sky.

I looked toward the east and there was just enough light to satisfy my eyes with this scene.

Serenity.

Calm.
